What Legacy of Atlantis is

As Lara Croft you hunt scattered pieces of the Scion, an artifact of immeasurable power, across four announced settings: the jungles of Peru, the ruins of Greece, the deserts of Egypt and a mysterious Mediterranean island.

The game is a reimagining of the 1996 genre-defining original rather than a numbered sequel. Traversal uses Lara's strength, agility and a grappling hook. Puzzles manipulate water flow, redirect light beams, activate pressure plates and decipher symbols. Combat uses dual pistols and unlockable weapons against wildlife, mercenaries and mythological creatures.

Nintendo Switch 2 is a day-one platform, but its pre-orders open later than PlayStation 5, Xbox and Steam. The Steam build is single-player, with Steam Achievements, full controller and DualSense support, HDR and Family Sharing. Windows is the only Steam OS.

Where digital pre-orders are live

PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store and Steam already sell digital Standard and Deluxe. Collector is not a live digital preorder on those three stores. Switch 2 ships on day one, but the eShop pre-order window is still closed. Steam is Windows-only at 80 GB, with HDR, Family Sharing, Steam Achievements, full controller support and DualSense. Minimum PC needs an Intel i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB RAM and a GTX 1070 8GB, RTX 2060 Super or RX 5700. Recommended PC steps up to an Intel i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with an RTX 3080 or RX 6800 XT.

Named settings for the Scion hunt

The announced map is four named regions, not a room list: Peru jungles, Greek ruins, Egyptian deserts and a mysterious Mediterranean island. Lost Valley is rebuilt into semi-connected rooms in Peru, and the cog puzzle returns there reimagined. Greece follows Peru on the Scion fragment path. Egypt is the deserts region and the one setting with a dedicated desert screenshot.

Outfits and credited performances

Survivor Outfit is the Standard pre-order bonus. Parisian Fugitive Outfit ships with Deluxe and Collector. Mediterranean Wetsuit unlocks at launch after Amazon Games iD is linked to Steam, PlayStation Network or Xbox. Alix Wilton Regan plays Lara Croft, Adrienne Wilkinson plays Natla and Bradley Snedeker plays Larson Conway. The game ships twelve localizations: English, French, German, Spanish (Latin America), Portuguese (Brazil), Polish and Simplified Chinese have full audio; Italian, Spanish (Spain), Japanese, Korean and Traditional Chinese are text only.
